Move to iOS: Η πρώτη εφαρμογή της Apple για συσκευές Android και πόλεμος στα reviews

Ταυτόχρονα με την χτεσινή κυκλοφορία του iOS 9 είχαμε την διάθεση της εφαρμογής Move to iOS [Google Play Link] στο Google Play. Μίας εφαρμογής η οποία αναπτύχθηκε με σκοπό να βοηθήσει τους δυσαρεστημένους χρήστες Android να μεταπηδήσουν στo iOS, μεταφέροντας το περιεχόμενο τους (φωτογραφίες, βίντεο, emails, sms, επαφές, ημερολόγια κτλ.) από το οικοσύστημα της Google σε αυτό της Apple.

Η μεταφορά των δεδομένων πραγματοποιείται με τη χρήση τοπικού δικτύου WiFi το οποίο δημιουργεί η iOS συσκευή και στο οποίο πρέπει να συνδεθεί η συσκευή Android:

When you choose to migrate your data, your new iPhone or iPad will create a private Wi-Fi network and find your nearby Android device running Move to iOS. After you enter a security code, it will begin transferring your content and put it in the right places. Just like that. Once your content has been transferred, you’re ready to get going. iOS will also set up your default mail account. That’s it — you can start using your new iPhone or iPad and experiencing its endless possibilities. Enjoy.

Ακόμη περισσότερο ενδιαφέρον από την ίδια την εφαρμογή, έχει ο τρόπος με τον οποίο την υποδέχτηκαν οι χρήστες Android. Η φρενίτιδα ενάντια στην Apple οδήγησε σε ένα βομβαρδισμό αρνητικών σχολίων και βαθμολογιών που όμοιο του δεν έχουμε ξανασυναντήσει τόσο στο Google Play όσο και στο App store.

Could not be worse No material design, probably in objective C, doesn’t work on my iPod touch 4th gen at all, can’t overclock my toaster, and no included stylus!! Also may have required the lives of three Vietnamese children to code as well.

Poor functionality I attempted to switch to ios (apparently zombies ate my brain) and my iPhone 3G would not accept my data. Also, my micro USB would not fit.

I’d rather be shot in the face Then switch to a closed, controlled environment. Apple will be the next BlackBerry in a few years. If you use this app, then you deserve to pay more and get less. Apple would never allow this on their communist environment.. Google is too accomodating to isheep.

Fake. Tried this app on my awesome LG G 3, and I wanted an iPhone 6 plus with ios9. Instead it made my phone a BlackBerry curve … Uninstalling this stupid app and suing it for false advertising !
